I recently completed the Ultra Trail Australia 50km race in the Blue Mountains. My goal time was 8.30 which I achieved! The 8,400 steps and 2,400 metres of elevation were a challenge but the training paid off! I have completed the 22km race twice in previous years so it was great to step up to the 50.
I started training with Runlab because I wasn’t making the progress I wanted. I was also getting injured regularly and needed to build my strength and train smarter.
My favorite session? hard to pick between My Trail Group & Runstrong. My Trail Group pushes me with intense efforts and helps with technique, especially on the technical trails. Runstrong has strengthened my body and helped with core strength and flexibility. Since I’ve been doing Runstrong I’ve been injury free!
What I really like about Runlab is the genuine personal interest, the encouraging text messages from the coaches & the cheering at the finish line. I really feel like I’m part of a running family. I’ve made great friends through Runlab and I’m looking forward to travelling with some of them to New York this year to compete in the Marathon.
My future goals are a competitive time in the New York Marathon and tackling The UTA 100 next year (If you told me a couple of years ago that I’d be running 100km I would of called you crazy!)
When I’m not running you will find me travelling, skiing, drinking coffee and the occasional glass of wine 😉
