The 2016 Runlab UTA RUNCAMP is going to be awesome!

It test the fittest runners, accelerate your fitness and provide you an education

Run to RUNLAB standards you can be assured that you will be coached and educated to the highest level. Vlad Shatrov will be the lead coach supported by Lucas Mcbeath and Mitch Turner on this camp that is designed for any runner that wants to accelerate their running fitness and education for the 2016 running season. It is targeted to the UTA race in May 2016 – but anyone who will be running a Trail or Road race later in 2016 will benefit from this camp.

CAMP DETAILS (Will be further updated closer to the camp) but here are the key details.

  • Camp dates Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th January 2016
  • Camp starts 9am sharp Saturday with check-in from 8am
  • Camp finishes 3pm Sunday
  • Accommodation is at the YHA Hostel in Katoomba
  • We will cater for 3 levels of runner (But you must be able to run to attend). You dont have to run all sessions
  • 2 workshops included :
    • 1 on gear required and race nutrition (On the Saturday so you can run with the setup on the Sunday)

      ” 1 on common running injuries and prevention from expert Sports Physiotherapist and Physiotonic director, Liane Shatrov (official physios for the 2014 North Face 100). Physiotonic runs group exercise classes to help improve strength, stability, flexibility and posture.”

      3 key run sessions included.

    • Saturday will be Race start area plus a session on the first legs of the 50km race with three levels of runner catered for. There will be Tempo work within this run.
    • Saturday afternoon Hill session with recovery straight after at the aquatic centre
    • Sunday will be a longer run on the key section of the course for both the 50km and 100km races. This is the leg from 30-50km approximately for the 50km and 80-100km approximately for the 100k! The A and B groups will run this entire section of approximately 25km with the A group running up to 35km. There will be a shorter out and back for the C group of approximately 12km
  • Breakfast included Sunday/ Accommodation dorm style on Saturday night, there will be a group dinner (Own cost) at a local restaurant on the Saturday night
  • Race quality event singlet & Goodie bag from sponsors SUUNTO and ISOWHEY SPORTS
  • A 20 minute private consult with a coach to discuss your current training with the option to get a customised program 16 weeks for $150 (normally would be $240)
  • Limited to 40 people – You can book accommodation on Friday night separately if you desire.

 

Entry standards

Entry standards are the equivalent of our Runlab super groups, i.e. we have A, B or C equivalent. Most runners will fit this criteria (below) if you are unsure we ask that you get in touch with us so that we can ensure we are suitable for youA Runner (Male Sub 12, Female Sub 12:30) 4:00, 4:10 per km

B Runner (Male Sub 14, Female Sub 15) 4:40, 5:00 per km

C Runner (Male and Female Sub 16:30) 5:30 per km

Note the times above are for a hard 3k effort!

 

TERMS and CONDITIONS

Must be 18 years old and over. At providers discretion, Entry refund of 75% minus administrative charges available until 30th December with valid requests.
