Competing at an elite level and coaching runners for over 15 years, Vlad combines experience and an in depth knowledge of running with his passion to help runners strive to achieve something otherwise possibly out of their reach. Best said by his favourite Runlab quote “Achieveyourimpossible”
With over 15 years of coaching experience and competing at the highest levels in both Triathlon and Distance road and trailrunning Vlad is a professional runner and member of Team Solomon who created Runlab and delivers leading training methodologies to his team and the Athletes that are the runners of Runlab.
Vlad continues to be at the forefront of all things running in Australasia and has partnered with Pont 3 as co-owner and Race director of the Coastal Ascent, Hunter Valley Ultra trail running events and more. Vlad continues to be the trainer for the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival and his professional qualifications and experience as an Engineer and Business Improvement Consultant continue to complement his development of products and services now all things running.
After completing the 2015 Berlin marathon in a PB of 2:18 (Olympic qualifying standard), Vlad knows what it takes to set a goal and really work towards it. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, having trained with many of Australia’s best runners and coaches, and he has a passion for running like no other.
Vlad has trained runners of all abilities. Whether it’s those looking to compete in the local fun-run or a full marathon, or just simply looking to run a little faster through his business Runlab.
Runlab is the leading provider of group training sessions for runners and seen as the industry standard as recognised by its official training partner status of multiple running festivals and events including the Blackmore’s Sydney Running Festival.
Runlab has sessions targeted towards road runners “Myrungroup” trail runners “Mytrailgroup” together with a functional strength class for any runner who is truly aiming to reach their potential “Runstrong”. These three CORE offerings are further complemented by classes for younger runners ‘Young guns” and those with potential to achieve significant running success “Runlab Elite”.
As the industry leader, Runlab, driven by Vlad is at the forefront of developing and creating superior running training and bringing this to an ever-increasing number of runners across multiple locations.
“My running career started slowly – after undergoing surgery at the age of 10 to alleviate joint fusions in both ankles, I was told it was unlikely that I would be able to make a career out of the sport that I loved yet caused me so much grief”. Undeterred, as a young teenager growing up on a sheep property in South Eastern NSW, “I continued to push my body, enjoying the freedom that running provided”.
“Not only have I successfully competed in many individual road races, but also I am proud to have helped many people, from absolute beginners to seasoned runners, achieve personal bests in both running and triathlons”. I’ve watched these people achieve, from 5K fun-runs and sprint distance triathlons all the way through to Marathons and Ironman events.
“I’m passionate about helping and working with other people to achieve their goals and continually strive to align myself with those individuals and organisations that are pushing the boundaries. I know that running requires not only a structured approach to training, but also a support network of services and equipment to supplement your training. With Runlab, we bring this support network”.
Living and breathing this philosophy, Vlad is targeting to Podium at both an Australian 100km event and also Ultra Trail Capetown on the Ultra Trail World Tour in 2019
I aim to provide every Runlab Athlete an opportunity to achieve what they thought was out of reach, really hitting their potential through not only our quality training and products, but by being a leader and challenging myself to continually improve.
“Achieve your impossible”
